Mosaic: The Art of Talent Leadership®

It’s been called the “talent crisis” or “the war for talent.” One thing is certain; it’s here and organizations need to focus on developing talent leadership if they are to remain competitive. Successful managers must combine many complex concepts, roles and responsibilities to create and keep high-performing teams — and this is often more “art” than “science.”

Many companies have relied on technology investments to address talent management issues. While these systems and processes are important, they’re not going to be enough to attract and retain talented employees. Research shows that employees are most satisfied in their jobs when they are engaged, appreciated, challenged and developed.

Recognizing the key role of managers in this battle for developing the best talent, Mosaic: The Art of Talent Leadership, is the newest discovery learning program from Paradigm Learning. Using a dynamic Discovery Maps® approach and intriguing case studies, learners are energized and quickly grasp the need for accountability around talent leadership. Designed with input from our Fortune 500 clients, Mosaic zeroes in on the core talent development and talent leadership issues organizations face on a daily basis … all while engaging participants in a fun and fast-paced learning experience.

Overview of Our Talent Leadership Program

Learning centers around a large, engaging illustration called a Discovery Map. Working in small teams, participants are guided through a realistic case study that develops insights around talent acquisition and retention issues. They then work with activity cards and guidebooks to explore the talent landscape in general, as well as in their own organization. Ultimately, they discover the critical talent leadership accountabilities that need to be embraced by managers in successful organizations:

  • Attracting employees – sourcing, hiring, onboarding
  • Retaining employees – managing, engaging, developing
  • Transitioning employees – expanding, transferring, letting go

Robust guidebooks provided with the program help managers transfer learning to the job as they consider issues related to their own departments and teams. A variety of takeaways such as best-practice cards, self-inventories, critical-thinking guides and personal action plans reinforce the learning and create bridges to real-life work situations.
